Project Profiles

Subsurface Grouting Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the FAS³ Grouting Subcommittee to establish guidelines on the design and use of grout injection when performing subsurface soil stabilization. These guidelines are intended to represent industry standards developed through consensus and reviewed on a regular basis.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will establish guidelines and standards on the design and use of grout injection when performing subsurface soil stabilization.
This committee will oversee the initial drafting of guidelines proposed by this committee and will oversee the response to all comments made during the comment/review phase of any guidelines/standards this committee proposes. This oversight will include the following:
- To submit proposed guidelines and standards to the Guidelines and Standards Committee in accordance with the bylaws.
- To review and respond to all comments/recommendations made for proposed standards, in accordance with the bylaws.

Underpinning Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the FAS³ Underpin Subcommittee to establish guidelines on the design and use of underpins when performing foundation stabilization and/or supplementation. These guidelines are intended to represent industry standards developed through consensus and reviewed on a regular basis.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will establish guidelines and standards on the deisgn and use of underpins when performing foundation stabilization and/or supplementation.
This committee will oversee the initial drafting of guidelines proposed by this committee and will oversee the response to all comments made during the comment/review phase of any guidelines/standards this committee proposes. This oversight will include the following:
- To submit proposed guidelines and standards to the Guidelines and Standards Committee in accordance with the bylaws.
- To review and respond to all comments/recommendations made for proposed standards, in accordance with the bylaws.

Testing Methods Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the FAS³ Testing Methods Subcommittee to establish guidelines on the design and use of testing methods for sinkhole stabilization. These guidelines are intended to represent industry standards developed through consensus and reviewed on a regular basis.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will establish guidelines and standards on the deisgn and use of testing methods used throughout the industry in the process of sinkhole stabilization.
This committee will oversee the initial drafting of guidelines proposed by this committee and will oversee the response to all comments made during the comment/review phase of any guidelines/standards this committee proposes. This oversight will include the following:
- To submit proposed guidelines and standards to the Guidelines and Standards Committee in accordance with the bylaws.
- To review and respond to all comments/recommendations made for proposed standards, in accordance with the bylaws.
