Project Profiles

Membership Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the Membership Committee to promote the value of FAS³ to potential new members. When potential new members apply for membership, the committee will review their application for qualifications, present the application to the Board for consideration and notify the applicant of the status of their application.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will develop and implement membership acceptance guidelines in accordance with FAS³'s bylaws.
This committee will oversee the acceptance or denial of new members. This oversight will include the following:
- To ensure that all applicants are fit for membership in accordance with FAS³'s bylaws.
- To submit all applicants who meet the requirements for membership to the Board for vote/approval.
- To ensure that the members of FAS³ remain in good standing in accordance with the Organization's bylaws.

Guidelines and Standards Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the Standards Committee to oversee the development and promulgation of guidelines and standards developed by the various or Technical Committees.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will develop, issue and reissue Guidelines and Standards Procedures on the development of guidelines and standards to be promulgated by this organization.
This committee will oversee the development of guidelines and standards created by FAS³'s various Technical Committees. This oversight will include the following:
- To edit technical guidelines or standards in compliance with the procedural guidelines maintained by the Standards Committee.
- To submit the guideline or standard to the organization as outlined within the bylaws.
- To ensure that the various Technical Committees are functional and productive.

Industry Marketing Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the Industry Marketing Committee to monitor industry realted happenings as they relate to FAS³ and to promote FAS³ in a manner that benefits the industry as a whole.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will develop and implement marketing guidelines in accordance with with goals of the Organization.
This committee will oversee the marketing endeavors of the Organization. This oversight will include the following:
- To ensure that FAS³ is represented in a manner that agrees with the goals and vision of the Organization as a whole.
- To promote FAS³ as an industry leader in standards and ethical practices.

Education & Programs Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the Education & Programs Committee to oversee the development and offering of educational opportunities to industry professionals and to promote FAS³ as an educational resource throughout the industry.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will develop, promote and instruct educational opportunities provided by FAS³ for continuing education and betterment of the industry to industry professionals.
This committee will oversee the scheduling, instruction and maintenance of the educational opportunities provided by the Organization. This oversight will include the following:
- To ensure that all courses provided are kept up to date in accordance with the various applicable licensing boards.
- To ensure that all courses/seminars/workshops provided are relevant and informative.
- To promote the educational opportunities provided by FAS³ to Building Officials and other appropriate entities.

Communications Committee

Mission:
It is the mission of the Communications Committee to oversee the development and implementation of the various forms of communication utilized by FAS³.

Make-Up:
This Standing Committee is to be comprised of no less than one board member and no more than two general members.

Roles and responsibilities:

This committee will develop and maintain various forms of communication for FAS³ to utilize when communicating with the Industry.
This committee will oversee the transmittal of the Bi-Monthly e-newsletter.
This committee will develop and maintain the website for FAS³.
This committee will oversee the design, content and transmittal of communication between FAS³ and the industry. This oversight will include the following:
- To ensure that all communication between FAS³ and the Industry is relevant, professional and informative.
- To ensure that all communication between FAS³ and the Industry represents the vision of FAS³.
